We stayed at Badgers End a few weeks ago, and wow, what a holiday it was! A wonderful cottage, beautiful surrounding woodland,Welcoming, friendly owners, there was bread and cake and wine when we arrived, we were invited to go badger watching, comfortable beds! We had SUCH a lovely time, and plan to return many more times! There's a lovely little walk through some woods to Coleford, which has a WONDERFUL bakery, that opens at 4am! Me and mum walked down a couple of time to get breakfast, but we only got there for about six. We are determined to make it for four one day though!

In short, wonderful cottage, people, woodland and village I highly recommend a trip, if we haven't booked it first!

We have just returned from a short break at Badgers End cottage in Coleford. The cottage is lovely, very clean, warm and comfortable. We were greeted by the owner who gave a guided tour, cake and a bottle of wine! We found it to be very well equipped for our needs (the toys and Wendy House in the garden were a big hit with our 2 year old!) with friendly owners living just next door. The cottage is in a good location, a short journey from Symonds Yat and (our favourite place...) Puzzlewood, it made for an ideal base to return to after a nice long walk. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Thank you Carol and Tony for a wonderful welcome. The cottage was lovely - warm, clean and with everything we needed, with great views too. We had a wonderful few days walking in the forest and surrounding area and it was great to come back to the log burning stove and curl up at the end of each day. We will certainly return as there is still so much to see and do. Denise and Dave.
